About me
Hi, I’m Patricia.
I help individuals, couples, and families break free from the patterns that keep them feeling stuck—so they can heal from trauma and build more secure, connected relationships.
My work takes a holistic approach, supporting your emotional, relational, and nervous system healing as a whole.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, emotionally disconnected, or caught in frustrating cycles that keep repeating in your relationships, you’re not alone. Many of the people I work with don’t initially realize how much their past experiences are shaping how they feel, relate, and respond today—they just know something isn’t working.
My work is about helping you gently understand those patterns, so you can begin to shift them and move toward the life and relationships you truly want.
My Approach to Therapy
I believe healing happens in the context of a safe, authentic relationship.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in compassion. I focus on creating a space where you feel seen, understood, and supported—so you can explore your experiences without judgment and at your own pace.
I take a holistic, integrative approach, viewing healing as a whole-person process—where your thoughts, emotions, body, and relationships are all deeply connected.
My work is:
Trauma-informed
Attachment-focused
Somatically and experientially based
Incorporates EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
I use EMDR as part of our work together to help process and resolve past experiences that may still feel “stuck” in your system—so they no longer shape how you feel, respond, or connect in the present.
Together, we’ll explore how your past experiences may be shaping your current emotional patterns and relationships. From there, we can begin to create meaningful, lasting change—helping you feel more connected to yourself, more grounded in your body, and more secure in your relationships.
What Working Together Looks Like
Therapy with me is not about fixing you—it’s about understanding you.
We’ll work together to:
Identify and understand the patterns and cycles that keep showing up in your life
Explore how past experiences may be influencing your emotions, reactions, and relationships
Build greater awareness, emotional safety, and connection to yourself
Process and integrate past experiences so they no longer feel overwhelming or stuck
Create new ways of relating—to yourself and to others—that feel more secure, grounded, and fulfilling
This is a collaborative process. You don’t have to have everything figured out—we’ll make sense of things together.
My Background:
I bring both professional training and personal understanding into my work.
I moved to California from Egypt to pursue my Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology, and later earned my Master’s degree in Counseling from New York University. My experience as an immigrant allows me to connect with and understand people from diverse cultural backgrounds, and I intentionally make space for each client’s unique story and identity in the therapy process.
I have worked in private practice, community-based programs, and residential and hospital settings, supporting individuals, couples, and families through a wide range of challenges.
I am:
A Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California and Arizona
EMDR-trained
Trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT)
Trained in Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT)
Outside of my work as a therapist, I live an active and grounded lifestyle. I enjoy traveling, surfing, crossfit, running, hot yoga, and spending time in nature.
My own experiences with caring for my mind and body have been an important part of my personal healing—and they continue to shape how I show up in my work.
I believe healing happens when we care for the whole self—mind, body, and the deeper emotional and relational parts of who you are—so you can live a more meaningful, balanced, and connected life.
A Final Note
I know that reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable.
If you’re here, something in you is ready for change—even if you’re not sure what that looks like yet.
You don’t have to navigate it alone. I would be honored to walk alongside you in your healing process.
