Hi, I’m Patricia.

I help empower you to break free from trauma cycles so you can create who you want to become and experience healthy, secure relationships.

Why choose to work with me?

Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed and emotionally disconnected? Do you find yourself in frustrating, painful patterns of self-sabotage? Do you desire to connect more deeply with yourself and others?

Couch, pillows and boho decor. Therapy office for individual, couples and family counseling.

I believe we all have a deep longing and capacity to be whole and connected to ourselves and others. I provide individual, couples and family therapy and specialize in working with trauma and relationship issues. My goal as a therapist is to empower you to break free from the negative cycles in your life that are causing you to experience immense distress.

I cultivate a warm, safe, non-judgmental environment that offers room for growth and positive change. I believe that building a strong therapeutic relationship is one of the most important aspects of therapy and aim to meet each client with compassion, attunement, and collaboration.

My approach to therapy is holistic and integrative and consists of trauma-informed, attachment-focused, and somatically-based experiential techniques.

I believe helping clients make connections with their mind – body – and spirit, as well as with others, creates the path to healing and living their true selves. I explore the unique challenges you are facing and work with you to find ways that facilitate your capacity to experience greater fulfillment, authentic self-expression and healthy connection.

My story:

I moved to the United States, California from Egypt when I decided to pursue my bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology.  My experiences as an immigrant allows me to understand, appreciate and interact with people from varying cultures and belief systems. I make room for each client’s culture in the therapeutic process by listening with attunement to your unique story, including the unique cultural aspects you bring; with a non-judgmental and compassionate perspective.

I later moved to New York City where I got my Master’s degree in Counseling from New York University. As much as I loved the city life, there is nothing like California's sunny weather and sandy beaches. Currently, I am based in Encinitas, San Diego. Outside of work I live quite an active lifestyle. I enjoy traveling, surfing, doing crossfit and hot yoga. I also love being in nature and exploring the beautiful outdoors.

Taking care of my mind, body and spirit was invaluable in my own healing and something I take into the work I do with my clients. I truly believe that the key to good mental health is your ability to tend to your emotional, psychological and spiritual wellbeing so you can live a meaningful and well-balanced life.

I am very passionate about the work that I do as a therapist and feel honored and privileged to walk alongside you through your own healing journey.
